How to set up scheduled wellness calls for individuals
This guide walks you through setting up weekly wellness calls using Gloria. Most families finish in under 5 minutes.
Before you start
- Have your loved one’s phone number ready.
- Think about two good times each week for a short call (for example: Tuesdays at 2pm and Fridays at 10am).
- Optional: a few topics they enjoy (gardening, sports, family names).
Step‑by‑step
- Create your account. Go to /signup and start the 7‑day free trial.
- Add your loved one. In the dashboard, open Patients → New. Enter their name and phone number.
- Personalize. Add a few interests and languages so calls feel natural. You can keep it simple and edit later.
- Choose the schedule. Open Schedules → New. Pick the days and times. We suggest two short weekly calls.
- Save “Gloria” in contacts. Your loved one saves the dedicated caller ID as “Gloria.” Calls will always show the same trusted name.
- Make a test call (optional). Use Call Now to try a quick hello and confirm the number rings properly.
Tips that make it work well
- Pick calm times of day. Avoid meal times and medical appointments.
- Use notes sparingly. Add small details your loved one enjoys—pets, hobbies, favorite teams.
- Watch for changes. Read the summary after each call. If sleep, appetite, or mood shifts, consider a quick follow‑up call.
Common questions
- Can I pause or change times? Yes—edit the schedule anytime in the dashboard.
- Does my loved one need a smartphone? No. Gloria works with landlines, flip phones, and smartphones.
- What if the call goes to voicemail? Only completed conversations count toward plan limits. If the call goes to voicemail, isn't answered, or fails for any reason, you won't be charged for it. Your first test call is also complimentary and never counts toward your limit.
